 Virtual Visit - Roof Angels

Navigation
In the Nave roof, twelve angels (some wearing crowns and some having outstretched wings) and fourteen saints, bishops or kings bearing various shields (some still awaiting identification), adorn the ends of the support beams. These were restored and repainted in 1898/9, but have now dulled considerably from their once-vibrant colours.
